A THREE-PETE FOR THE PROFILER
PETE THE PROFILER made it three wins from as many starts this campaign with another very tradesman like performance at Belmont on Wednesday. The horse was having his second run in six days and his third in sixteen days when he once again won as he liked in what was a fairly average group of horses.
In saying that, he still won with something in hand and he still came home with the same size winners cheque as if he had beaten a field of champions. As long as I have been training I have always adhered to the old adage of keeping myself in the best company and my horses in the worst!!! OK OK, maybe I have failed a bit with the first part of the equation.
Anyway PETE THE PROFILER will probably have a few weeks on the easy list now and we will then look for a nice Saturday race for the boy to see if he can take the next step. I am confident that he can.
