GUYNO FOR NATURALISM
GUYNO, who ran a very pleasing race when a close up 5th over 1700m at Flemington last start, is due to make his next appearance at Caulfield this Saturday. The horse has been entered for two races, The W.F.A. Underwood Stakes over 1800m and the 2000m Naturalism Stakes.
Although GUYNO is Gr1 placed at W.F.A. over 1800m, I am leaning towards starting him in the Listed Naturalism Stakes which should give him a better stepping stone to his future races. The Underwood is likely to be a smaller field however with the likes of Weekend Hustler, Maldivian and Light Fantastic all set to take their place, I feel the Naturalism will prove to be the better option at this stage.
GUYNO has come on nicely since his first run in Melbourne and I expect him to start showing his best form from here on in. As we all know it is not easy to beat the best on their own dung hill however the reports I am getting from my son Dion, who is taking care of GUYNO whilst he is in Melbourne, have all been positive and I am looking forward to the next couple of starts with the horse.
