POST BUNBURY CUP
It has once again been very slack of me to not keep this site up to date but I honestly have been busier than a one armed brick layer in Beirut! There has been plenty to keep me busy over the past few weeks and hopefully I can get back to some consistency with my postings.
The SW Cups have all been run now and although I gave myself a big chance of tasting some success in the big races, things didn't work out that way for one reason or another. At the end of January I figured I would be a big chance in the Cups with both GUYNO and ALMOHAD heading that way as well as having MOCCASIN BEND heading towards the Sprint races.
MOCCASIN BEND had some feet issues leading into the Pinjarra sprint and ALMOHAD showed that he had well and truly had enough by the time the Bunbury Cup came around. GUYNO once again showed that he is not capable of winning open class races in this state with the top weight that he keeps being allocated. I know that he has earned the top weight however the fact that he is so honest and consistent means that he takes a long time to come back down in the weights. The truth is that GUYNO has only won one race since his first up win as a four year old back in 2007!!!
Both GUYNO and ALMOHAD are now having a well earned rest at Amelia Park and both look happy and relaxed. Both horses will stay in the paddock for a while before we decide which way to head with them.
MOCCASIN BEND has taken a while to overcome the hoof soreness however she appears to be making good progress and should be back to the track soon.
