WILD CHARGER MAKES IT TWO STRAIGHT

It is hard to tell who the biggest "poser" is out of the three pictured in the above shot however WILD CHARGER appears to revel in all the post race glory as much as owner John Yovich or jockey Jason Whiting.

Progressive young galloper, confirmed his ranking as one of the states most progressive young horses with another strong victory at Belmont on Saturday. Starting a heavily backed odds on favourite, WILD CHARGER again settled towards the rear of the field in the 1400m event and aided by a typical calm and patient tide from regular jockey Jason Whiting, rounded up the field in less than a furlong to win pulling up.

This was the second time in eight days that the son of  Trade Fair was able to win at Belmont courtesy of similar rides from Jason. We had been tossing up with the idea of giving the horse a break after his previous win however he had come through the run so well we opted for another race.

We now have the dilemma of deciding whether to give him another run in a similar race next weekend or turn him out for a four to six week spell and have him back racing after the carnival. As is usually the case with our horses, we will let the horse tell us which way he wants to go and we certainly wont be pushing the issue. At this stage, the horse is telling me that he loves the stable life and another race would be ideal. Considering he only had a saddle on once between runs, I guess he can't complain about being overworked!!!
