One down. Five to go!!!!

Four runners and one footy team still in the mix.

Last Wednesday I mentioned what a busy few days we had to look forward to. Things certainly got off to a great start with Moondalo running on strongly at the end of her race to win easing down. The mare was racing first up after a good spell and we were quietly confident about her chances. She was dropping back a fair bit in class to what she had been racing against last preparation and her work was first class. The mare did all her pre training down at Amelia Park farm and the crew down there certainly did a good job with her. Hopefully the next lot to come up from the farm will perform just as well.

I can only hope that the rest of my runners over the next few days can perform as well as Moondalo. Today we start off with the ever consistent mare Glamourzon in race 2 followed by Striken in race 3. Both should run very good races and prove hard to beat. In and around my two runners will be a little game of football that I will be trying to keep a close eye on and hopefully the EAGLES can make the day a great one and be the third leg of a winning trifecta for the day. What a way to go!!!

Sunday we head up to York with Celt Code and she looks well placed in a 1900m race with only a small field taking part. At this stage my other runner for the weekend will be Annagassan and she looks likely to start on Monday in a 1200m race for fillies and mares.

Fingers crossed it could be a big weekend.
