Flat day at the footy.

OK. OK. I know. Every dog has his day. Or in this case, every Docker has his day!

What a day. Up early. Knock off the morning work then chill out with a bit of AFL on the telly before heading off to the real game of the round. The mighty Eagles v Dockers. I like most Eagles supporters were left licking our wounds after what promised to be a top class game, which we all thought we would win turned into a one horse race with the Dockers running rings around a very slow looking Eagles.

All that after giving it to the die hard Dockers supporters for most of the season. But as much as this pains me, credit where credit is due and the way those boys from Freo are going, you would have to be a very brave man to discount them in any game from here on in. As far as the Eagles go, I'm sure they will bounce back. They had bloody better!! I don’t know how much more of this stirring I can cop from you Dockers fans. Even though they really do deserve the good run they are enjoying.

By the way I don’t need any owners with a 50 starts maiden using the Dockers as an example of what might happen if we persevere a bit longer. As I have said from day one...... I can do the impossible; Miracles take a bit longer!!!

GO THE EAGLES.

A case of Deja vu!

Held up on the corner again this week but same result.

"The Fish" has always had a knack of giving his backers a heart attack. This one was no different. With nowhere to go on the corner, Fish again weaved some magic to find room and force Sheradize through a needle eye opening to blow the opposition away again winning three out of his last four starts. This little horse is starting to be a bit of an iron horse and shows his love for racing week to week.

Second win out of last three starts.

After mixing up his form as a three years old galloper, Sheridize is putting it all together nowadays.

With nowhere to go on straightening,

With nowhere to go on straightening, "The Fish" found room on the inside to take Sheradize through for an easy win. The horse has raced in ultra consistent fashion this preparation and has more wins in store. It was the first time out for the new blinkers with the distinctive LPL down the front so it was nice to win with them on their "maiden voyage". I'm sure there will be plenty more!

More one-liner's to tickle your fancy.

I do enjoy a good proverb.

DAD: Someone who hopes his son will turn out to be just like him and who is afraid his daughter will meet someone who did!

Deja Moo: The feeling that you've heard this bull before!

Don’t be afraid of opposition; Remember a kite rises against, not with the wind.

Engineer: A person who knows a great deal about very little and who goes along knowing more and more about less and less until finally he knows practically everything about nothing.

Flirtation...... Attention without intention!

Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark, professionals built the titanic.

Never wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty and the pig likes it!
